Yard Waste Separation to begin:

April 4th

All yard waste must be put into brown Kraft bags.  Tags ARE NOT required. Put bags to the curb on Thursday evening, for pick-up on Friday.  (Yard waste collection is weekly and runs through September 26th, 2025.)

Trash update from Republic Services:

The management at Republic Services would like to thank residents for their patience during the recent transition to toter service, as well as the numerous weather delays.  They have noticed that many residents have adjusted to using their recycling and trash carts for trash disposal.

Here are a few reminders and clarifications that Republic Services has asked the Borough to pass along:   

1. The handles on the carts should be facing toward your residence when placed at the curb.

2. The lids on both carts must be closed to prevent damage to the carts when being emptied.

3. Bags of trash should not be placed on top of or beside the cart and cardboard must be inside the recycling cart.  (Extra bags of trash must have the extra service green tags affixed to them for them taken on trash day.  Tags can be purchased at the Borough office.)

4. Carts must have  2’ or  more of clearance on all sides so they can be retrieved by the mechanical arm.

5. Placement of the carts should be as close as possible to the curb so they can be reached by the arm on the truck.

• All trash and recycling materials must be placed into the Republic Services provided carts.  Cardboard should be broken down as flat as possible and placed inside of the recycling cart.  Untagged extra trash bags and cardboard placed outside the cart WILL NOT be taken by the trash hauler.​
